Tax Reporting (1099s) and Order History
This article explains how prize redemptions may be reported for tax purposes and how to request your order history. TSMx is not a tax advisor — please consult a qualified tax professional about your personal situation.
Are TSMx Cash redemptions taxable?
Prizes redeemed from TSMx Cash may be taxable as income. Under the sweepstakes model, redemptions are generally treated as “other income” rather than traditional gambling winnings, and are reported to the IRS on Form 1099-MISC (not W-2G).
When will I receive a 1099?
If your total prize redemptions in a calendar year reach the applicable IRS reporting threshold, TSMx may issue you a Form 1099-MISC.
The reporting threshold is set by the IRS and is subject to change from year to year.
If a form is required, it is typically made available by January 31 for the prior tax year.
Your responsibility
Even if you do not receive a 1099, you remain responsible for reporting any taxable prize income to the IRS and paying any taxes due. We recommend keeping your own records of redemptions throughout the year.
Requesting your order history
You can request a copy of your order and transaction history at any time. Contact support via live chat or email support@tsmx.io and our team will provide it.
